Emotional Freedom Techniques, universally referred to simply as EFT, is a form of emotional acupuncture where fingers are used to tap certain acupuncture points to release negative and blocked emotions instead of using needles. It really is as powerful as Clinical Hypnotherapy and you may have seen the world famous Paul McKenna, (Britain’s most well known Hypnotherapist) use the tapping method when treating people along with Hypnotherapy and NLP on the television and internet videos. I use EFT with almost every client as it really does either radically reduce the intensity of negative feelings or banish them for good thus having the same effect that Hypnotherapy and NLP do alone. I often use Advanced Hypnotic Language Patterns when I treat clients with EFT as well as mix it with my expertise in NLP to produce positive and lasting results. When we are angry, upset, fearful, guilty, ashamed, hurt, sad or depressed a negative emotional charge is produced inside of us, an acupuncturist would treat us by using their skills to realign the energies in our body through inserting needles into specific points of our body and leave them there for a time in the knowledge that continual bad feelings throw us out of balance which can very often manifest in physical issues also. With EFT, we address those unconscious as well as conscious issues at the very core, thus resolving the lack of stillness inside of us by tapping with our fingers on the points indicated above as we talk about the things that disturb us whilst saying both positive and negative statements until we feel at ease again. And not one single needle is used…

EFT evolved from a practice called Thought Field Therapy which was created by Dr Roger Callahan who blended both Western Psychology (namely NLP) and Eastern Medicine and both techniques have provided many millions worldwide with relief from pain, diseases and emotional issues. On my journey I came across an Irish man named Dermot O’Connor who had healed himself of a severe form of Multiple Sclerosis and then wrote a book called “The Healing Code” that received a double page spread in one of Britain’s most popular national newspapers “The Daily Mail“. On the front of the book Paul McKenna wrote a quote that simply says – “An essential guide to improving your health” as well as another from Dr Gillian McKeith – “Fantastic guidelines with practical, easy to follow concepts for wellness and positive health”. Dermot says there are 5 key elements to staying well and/or regaining your health, and 2 of those elements are (NLP) “Is Your Mind Ready To be Well?” and (Tapping Techniques such as EFT) “Taking Charge of Your Emotions” as necessary components to cultivate a positive mindset and move towards and ultimately achieve an outcome of health and maintaining it.

As an Advanced EFT Practitioner and one who has also studied “Matrix Re-Imprinting” (created by Karl Dawson, an EFT Master), I am highly experienced and knowledgeable in my delivery of it. I have studied and continue to study, all of the latest advances that have developed over the years such as Robert Smith’s “Faster EFT” and many more from some of the world’s most experienced and expert Practitioners. There are so many great benefits from having EFT, such as being able to rate how you are feeling on a scale on 0 – 10 and gauging how intense an emotion is, before witnessing it diminish throughout the session by checking into it as you release blocked emotion and feel more free again. One of the other many wonderful benefits include the ability of being able to continue to use the technique on yourself, well beyond the Therapy and Coaching room and for the rest of your life.
